Reboot Your Hair

Reboot Your Hair

Like it or not, weak hair shows  – whether it’s limp, droopy, thin or falling out, and accompanied by split ends or extreme dryness, weak hair’s a problem and simply moisturizing it, won’t fix it. It needs a full-on reboot and, it‘s not all that tricky if you use the right products.  If not, you're likely loading your hair up with all the wrong things and causing further damage.

Our Tricomin Clinical products use a variety of proven hair-healthy ingredients -- all playing different roles. Some help scalp health, some make the hair shaft look thicker. Others, still, help to nourish hair with vitamins and antioxidants. But if there is one that we’re head-over-heels about: multi-tasking Panthenol.

Also called provitamin B5, panthenol binds with the hair, allowing it to continue working even after you wash it off. Panthenol can take on different functions depending on the products it is formulated in.  In shampoos, panthenol works as a humectant, drawing in moisture and retaining it long after that product is washed off.

In a leave-on product, it works to prevent further hair damage and minimize mid‐strand breakage (another key contributor to thin looking hair). In a recent study, a no-rinse panthenol product was examined for the effect it has on increased suppleness/pliability and its ability to increase break stress and withstand force without breaking.

It did it all and the study concluded that although cosmetic treatments will not reverse the condition, this new approach – a leave in agent -- may help to mitigate the effects of thinning hair.
